I’d Do Anything – Jessie or Jodie for Nancy?

Jodie

Jessie

In the final of the BBC1 show the panel and producer seemed to hint that Jessie was their preferred favourite, for the new star to play Nancy in Oliver. However the public voted a different way.

Was this the right decision by the public?

I agreed with the panel, but it’s the public that buy the tickets!

Eurovision “song” contest?

British Fans

Why do we in the UK continue to enter this “song contest” each year?

Over the last few years we have had some reasonably good entries, and this year was no exception. Yet our results continue to decline and become more and more embarrassing.

I think it has become clear now, as we had suspected for years, that the results have nothing to do with the merits or popularity of the song but are purely down to the politics of the voting countries. Therefore why do we then continue to enter it?

Surely it has now become a waste of taxpayers money, which Gordon Brown can ill afford to squander in these times of world recession.

Does it also show the real standing and popularity that we now have in “Europe”?

The winner of the 53rd contest from Belgrade was the Russian pop star Dima Bila.
